Open you macro window by either going to the main menu (esc) or by typing /macro (/m) in the chat window.
There are two tabs, General Macros- these are stored throughout your account for all characters, and “Yourname” Specific Macros- these are specific to the character you are on.
To create a new macro, select the New button. Chose an icon and name for the macro you’d like to create. Select the “?” icon to have WoW automatically pick an icon based on the spells you’ll be using in the macro. Select Okay.
Your new WoW macro commands will now be listed in the macro box. Click in the edit box to enter your macro text.
Remember, you can only use 255 characters to write your macro.
When you’re finished, simply place your new macro in your action bar. Your new macro will automatically save when you first use it or when you close the macro window.
You’ve just created your first WoW macro castsequence!
I hope this WoW macro guide has been helpful. Coming soon, I’ll have a few class specific macros for you to try out.
